I was itching to climb more Mountains but didn't have anyone to climb with. So on a Wednesday night after work I decided to make the four hour drive up to Mount Russell. I got there after midnight, slept a few hours and then shot up to the summit of Russell. After five hours of hiking and scrambling on the east ridge, I arrived at the summit at 10am. I rushed down tot he saddle, tagged Mount Carillon and headed downhill in a three hours decent to make it back to the car by 1pm and back home before dark.
Mount Russell: 14,094ft
Mount Carillion: 13,559ft
